Nursing—Registered Nursing (R.N.) to B.S.N.

We are excited to share the School of Nursing has moved to the Pruitt Campus in Port St. Lucie! All classes and nursing skills laboratories will be held at Pruitt as of Fall 2023.

Applications for Spring 2025 are now open and will close on March 1, 2025.

Registered Nurses (R.N.s) can expand their knowledge and skills by enrolling in the R.N. to B.S.N. program at the 91¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ School of Nursing. The R.N. to B.S.N. program is a 121-credit degree that expands the foundation of leadership, evidence-based practice, community, research and theory. The nursing curriculum includes 10 courses with asynchronous online lectures along with clinical learning experiences in three courses. Students who are completing their registered nurse education and current Registered Nurses (R.N.s) are eligible to apply. Start a new chapter of your nursing career and apply to the R.N. to B.S.N. program at 91¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ!

Once You Complete the Program

Registered nurses ready for advancement to leadership and management positions complete the Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing for additional training, positioning them for advancement with a highly valued credential.

Applying to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree Program

Application Cycles:

Spring Cohort: October 2 – March 1

Summer Cohort: March 2 – June 1

Fall Cohort: June 2 – October 1

Admission Requirements:

Applications for 91¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ's RN-BSN program are accepted each semester.

  • Graduated from a nationally or regionally accredited institution with a Diploma, A.A.S., or A.S. degree in Nursing.
  • Active, unencumbered, valid home-state Florida RN License
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • Completion of MGF 1130, MAC 1105, STA 2023, or MAC 2311

To begin the application process:

  1. Read the R.N. to B.S.N. Handbook. 
  2. Complete and submit the for the Practical Nursing program ($30 fee; keep a copy of your receipt).

Licensure

91¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ’s R.N. to B.S.N. program is nationally accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. If you are a student who chooses to reside outside of Florida, 91¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ cannot confirm whether this degree program meets educational requirements for employment in your state. Please contact the board of nursing in your state to determine whether this degree will meet their licensure requirements.

Bachelor of Science

Advance your nursing skills and prepare for leadership positions with the R.N. to B.S.N. Degree. The R.N. to B.S.N. Degree provides you with a highly valued credential that may increase your earning potential and open doors to advancing your career. Nursing courses (NUR) total 31 credits. 

Complete your nursing courses in 14 or 18 months after completion of one semester of pre-requisites. The R.N. to B.S.N. program offers two Guided Pathways.

Baccalaureate Students who are NEW to 91¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ

All RN-BSN Applicants who are transferring credits from a non-accredited institution, OR one that is located outside the state of Florida are expected to meet with an Academic Advisor.

With your advisor, you will create an academic plan to assist you with completing the B.S. Nursing requirements on time.

Identifying an academic pathway at the beginning of the program, along with frequent follow-up with your academic advisor, is the pathway to success! 


Student Transfer from Non-Accredited Institutions

Students who are transferring in from a non-accredited institution should meet with an Advisor to evaluate credits eligible for transfer and to create a Guided Pathway.
