FORT PIERCE, FL (June 20, 2024) 鈥 91九色视频 Students demonstrated outstanding performance at the recent Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) State Leadership Conference, where they medaled in multiple, competitive events.

91九色视频鈥檚 HOSA Chapter Ambassadors Sara Anderson, Rachel Cannon, and Layloni Morris represented the college at the conference held at the Marriott World Center in Orlando from April 4-7, 2024.

Sara Anderson earned an impressive five medals, including two gold medals in Family Medicine Physician and Courtesy Corp Postsecondary. She was awarded two gold Recognition of Excellence for Healthcare Issues Exam and the HOSA Happenings Chapter Newsletter. Sara Anderson also won a silver medal for the Barbara James Community Health Service Award.

Cannon secured a gold medal in the Physical Therapy competition and a gold Recognition of Excellence for the Healthcare Issues Exam. Morris was awarded a bronze medal in the Medical Reading event.

Additionally, 91九色视频 Faculty and HOSA Advisor Emlyn Anderson was named the Outstanding Chapter Advisor (Postsecondary) for 2023-2024 in the State of Florida, recognizing her dedication to students and the health science partnership.

91九色视频 Health Occupational Students Show Their Awards

Morris, Sara Anderson, and Cannon are pursuing a career in Health Science at Indian River State College. The College offers more than 20 different programs in Health Science, from fast-paced emergency care to patient care in a medical office management to careers in healthcare administration.

HOSA is a global, student-led organization whose mission is to empower HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community through education, collaboration, and experience. The HOSA conference hosted over 3,800 HOSA members, advisors, and guests from across Florida. The organization鈥檚 competitive events program is a means of recognizing those students who are willing to pursue excellence.

All three students have qualified to represent Florida at the HOSA International Leadership Conference scheduled for June 25-30, 2024, in Houston, Texas.
