91¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ and Piper Aircraft, Inc. Seek Applicants for Next Apprenticeship Cohort

Piper Aircraft is now accepting applications for its 2020 Apprenticeship Program. The two-year program, presented in cooperation with 91¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ, began in August 2019, in response to the increasing demand for high-quality manufacturing candidates at Piper Aircraft. The first nine apprentices are currently entering their second semester of the program, shadowing skilled aircraft assembly workers and learning all aspects of aircraft fabrication and assembly while taking related 91¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ-delivered coursework.
The 2020 apprenticeship cohort will begin in late July at Piper Aircraft’s world headquarters in Vero Beach. Each apprentice is a paid employee of Piper Aircraft and receives a full benefits package. At the end of the training, students take exams to become qualified Journeymen in Aircraft Assembly and are prepared to eventually take on supervisory and management roles at Piper.

The apprenticeship program is registered by the Florida Department of Education Division of Career and Adult Education.
The application deadline is April 30, 2020.
