Free Financial Literacy Seminars Hosted by 91¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ

The 91¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ (91¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ) Center for Financial Literacy is hosting a free lecture series November 19 to 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Brown Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship on the Main Campus located at 3209 Virginia Avenue in Fort Pierce. Community members are invited to join 91¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ students and alumni in broadening their financial knowledge.
This three-day lecture series provides invaluable tools for making sound financial decisions. Professional speakers from local and national businesses will cover topics on credit management, savings and investment, and navigating financial hardships.
The lecture schedule from 6 to 8 p.m. each evening follows:
- Tuesday, November 19: Credit Management
Start by testing your IQ about credit, debit and pre-paid cards, along with credit reports and credit scores. Then, learn about identity theft protection measures.
- Wednesday, November 20: Savings & Investment
Learn the what, when, where and why about savings and investments. It’s never too soon, or too late, to begin or grow your portfolio.
- Thursday, November 21: Dealing with Financial Trouble
What are the warning signs of financial trouble, and how do you react to them? Explore credit counseling, debt reduction planning, credit repair scams, bankruptcy and more.
